WCPF Exhibition Results

2011-2012 Season

The first competition of the Season, Jessops Cup, was expertly judged by John Jeffery LRPS CPAGB. John efficiently appraised and offered constructive advice on each of the 69 prints entered. The subject was 'Coast' and the winner was 'Living on the Edge' by Sharron Godfrey. John thought this print embodied not only the feeling of peace and tranquillity, but also a feeling of isolation and loneliness. Second place went to Pam Sherren with 'Santorini Coast'; third was Margaret Ewer with 'Wild Seas'; and highly commendeds were awarded to David Coaker, Jane Booth, Roy Stych, Mike Bond, Pam Sherren, and Julia Rich.

Congratulations to award winners in the Model Village Creative Competition. Judge Gordon Aspland was impressed with the number and quality of the creative images entered in the competition. 1st Jeannine King with 'Feather Ripples'; 2nd Jane Booth with 'Scary!'; 3rd Pam Sherren with 'Autumn Gallery'. Highly Commended: Chris Champ with 'Brighton Brighton West Pier' and 'Felucca Suez Canal'; David Coaker with 'Ocean of Flowers'; Eddie Bairstow with 'Steam Tractor' and 'Churston station'; Linda Hawken with 'Bubble of nerves'; Lorry Parton with 'Reflections'; Pam Sherren with 'Taking a Break'; and Steve Carne 'Autumn Rain' and 'Fly Fishing'.
